Notice of Employment Opportunity - Collections Operator

The Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District is currently seeking applicants for a new collections operator. The position is a bargaining unit position with Local 150 Operators. Applicants will be required to: obtain, at minimum, a Class 4 IEPA Wastewater Certification, within 2 years of hire, and a Class B CDL with air-brake and tanker endorsements, within 120 days of hire. A pre-physical, drug screening, and background check will be required. Applicants must meet residency requirements for operators (15 miles from District service area) within 12 months of hire. The position has the following benefits: vacation/personal days, on-call pay, IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) pension, and excellent healthcare (including vision and dental plans).


Individuals with prior flusher truck, televising/camera inspection truck, Vactor truck, GIS/web mapping, and/or general collections system experience preferred.
